It was a bright, sunny Saturday, and I was looking forward to relaxing by the pool side all day. I quickly threw on my favourite sweater and ran downstairs to make scrambled eggs. But when I got to the kitchen there was a surprise waiting for me. As I opened the fridge something came flying at me! What was that? A bat?!? As I looked around the kitchen trying to figure out what it was, another one came flying out of the fridge at me! What were these things? I slowly opened the fridge, until it was fully open. Sitting in front of me were ten more tiny dragons! I gasped! How could this be possible? I quickly shut the fridge and ran to the market! I found the man that had sold them to me, he was wearing a strange looking cloak, could he be a wizard?
"Excuse me, I bought twelve eggs from you yesterday, and this morning when I woke up I found TWELVE TINY DRAGONS!!!" I said.
He replied, "Well I see, you must be the chosen one!"
"The chosen one?" I asked.
"Yeah! The dragons mean you have been invited to enroll in Ilvermorny School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Congrats!" He said.
"Isn't that the equivalent of Hogwarts for Canadians?!?" I replied.
Yep! It was, and soon enough I was on a plane, flying to Ilvermorny!

“Colin!” My mom yelled from the kitchen. “Could you grab me some eggs from the barn?”

“Sure mom, One sec!” I went downstairs and put my shoes on then ran out the back door. As I was running across our farm land I looked and admired the shining sun that seemed to warm my whole body from head to toes. The sound of cattle filled my ears as I approached the barn. I stepped inside and expertly navigated to the chicken pen. Then opened up the roof of the coop and scooped out 12 eggs. Then I found an empty egg carton on the table and carefully placed each egg in and closed it. I left, But little did I know there was something lurking in a dark corner, something mystical!

I ran back to the house and opened the back door and handed my mom the eggs. “Thank you, Colin,” she said.

I ran up to my room and texted my friends to see if they wanted to come over. Jimmy, Mike, and Steve were free so they were able to come over and said they would be there any minute. So I thought over what we could do, maybe play some soccer or something. We’ll see.

Ding-Dong Goes the doorbell. I bolted downstairs and opened the door to see my friends standing there. We went outside and started to kick the ball. Then all of a sudden we heard a noise. It sounded like a woosh coming from the barn. We stopped what we were doing and ran to investigate.

We opened the door and quietly snuck in with me taking the lead. I grabbed a flashlight off the workbench and turned it on. a beam of light shone and Illuminated something unusual.

“a a a dragon???? Aha!” We screamed and then dove for cover.

From our hiding spots we stared at the baby dragon and slowly approached. Then Jimmy touched it. Fire erupted from its mouth! The heat was so intense we had to take a step back. Then the dragon rolled into a ball and fell asleep. We didn’t know what to do so we just sat there in shock.

I thought aloud, “What if we keep him as a pet!” Everyone agreed and so we turned on the lights and started to build a little house for the baby dragon. we hammered away for what felt like hours until we finally were done. It was amazing. It had three levels. the top one with a little bed, The second one had bowls with food and water, and the third one had a nice open space so it could walk around freely.
